Rock Art Museum CLEAN-UP PLAN Arrival &
Construction Camp trash collection
will be setup immediately upon arrival and remain available throughout Burning
Man. All materials will be kept secure
during construction to avoid any blowing debris. The playa will be undisturbed during construction except for tent
and shade structure stakes, and a small shallow trench for power cords from the
generator to the shade structure, and possibly post holes for the interpretive shade
structure. During Camp members will be
reminded to keep all materials secured when not in use and before leaving the
camp. Drying plates and cups will be
kept in a net to avoid blowing away during a storm. Gray water will be collected into a holding tank for eventual
pumping by Johnny on the Spot. Each morning, a camp
member will be assigned from a rotating roster for pick-up duty - to pick up
any trash inadvertently left out from the previous night. Each day, a pair of camp members will be
assigned for MOOP patrol. They will
visually inspect the campsite to pickup and dispose of any MOOP. Appropriate trash will
be disposed of in burn barrels. If it doesn't come out of
our bodies, it doesn't go in the potties. Tear-Down & Pack-Up Any non-burnable trash
(e.g., nonflammable, toxic when burned, recyclables, and wet trash) will be
packed out. Once the site is clear,
the entire site will be checked in grid fashion three times to check for any
remaining MOOP.
